The Depot Restaurant in Riverton

Great place! Took the family there for my nephew and son's birthdays, the atmosphere was fantastic and food was delicious. The waitress was outstanding and the boys even got a free ice cream from their birthdays. I am really glad we chose the Depot for our special evening with the family, And I would highly recommend this restraunt to any one weather for a small dinner or a large get together they will accommodate you.

Had the fajitas, the meat was bland, no real flavor. The tacos are ok. Chips n salsa were ok too. Could of been better, but left with a full tummy

The dedication of the team post covid lock down is amazing.

The Chimichanga was spot on and the salsa had just the right kick.

I love The Depot. Food and service is fantastic and the environment is wonderful. The classic design of the building adds a lovely backdrop for the meal.

Have eaten at the Depot many times and the food was always great. Tonight we were very disappointed. The shredded beef was tough, had no flavor and very dry. The margaritas were excellent as usual. The waitress did not charge us for one of the meals, which was very nice. I hope that you will be able to improve the quality of the shredded beef in the near future.

this is honestly one of the best restaurants in Wyoming. We moved to Ohio 6 months ago and I have yet to find a Mexican restaurant that even comes close to The Depot. I’m thinking I need to make a trip back just to eat there!

The Depot is always a nice place the eat. The atmosphere is quaint. The food is Mexican, and is always very good.

Good Mexican/American fare. I like the bar here inside in the winter and on the deck when warmer. Kids love the model train that circulates.

This was very good. A little pricey, but for good food why wouldnt you be willing to pay the extra every once in a while for a good meal. The staff is awesome and very friendly. They are also baby friendly. Good to see a nice resturaunt still nice enough for babies!!!

We had a really fun time here. The wait staff was super friendly and obviously knowledgeable about the menu, and the food was fresh, hot, and delicious. Cozy, clean, friendly, and delicious... What more could I ask for at a casual Mexican-American eatery?

The Depot has been a local favorite for decades. Amazing food with excellent service. The train adds for a little history/ambiance. Great family friendly restaurant. Make sure to try out one of their margaritas!

The chix encb verde was was swimming in white sauce and melted white cheese. There was no salsa verde/green salsa. Common menu names are indicative of ingredients and preparation. The salsa verde gives the dish a distinctive flavor profile and absent results in something not enchalada verde. Chefs specials are the domain of creativity. The rice and beans were we'll prepared and tasty. The red salsa delicious. The staff were professional and well trained and engaged easily with guests. Since I believe we all strive to be better I cannot leave you with a problem and no way forward. Enlist FOH BOH in taste paneling one dish before meal service. Sensory evaluation includes the five sensory components just improving a presentations visual appeal and half of the battle is over.

An excellent tasting restaurant indeed. The outside of the depot is very nice and it's surprising to see such a nice looking restaurant within the dirty hovel that is Riverton. The interior is very nice, with lots of wood, good lighting, and a unique feature that is a small locomotive train that runs through the whole restaurant. The service was good, and everyone was friendly. The food seems very authentic, but I can't exactly say. Everything is plated nicely and everything tastes fresh and well made. The pricing is affordable as well. This is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants and I highly recommend it, even to people who live in Lander 30 minutes away. It is surely worth the drive

Great experience! We ate outside on the patio, our waitress was great about making suggestions and refilling drinks (see my strawberry piña colada 😋). Also can’t say enough about the bartender, who graciously put together a gallon drink for us that you’re supposed to call for a day in advance! I’m out here for work and I’ll definitely be back before my time is up.

We were driving through Riverton and wanted Mexican food. They were the only Mexican restaurant open. The staff was friendly and welcoming, the food was great we left full. The atmosphere was fantastic.

Good for Mexican American food. If your not big on spicy Mexican food, this is the place to go.

We love the Depot! Great atmosphere out on the deck, or sitting inside. The food is great and the margaritas are my favorite in town!! Chips and fresh made salsa are also a must have!

Always a family favorite. Consistent quality American Mexican food. Service is prompt and courteous. Have been coming here for 20+ years, Beef Chimichanga is always delicious, Margaritas and Sangria 🖒 one of the best Restaurants in Fremont County.

I took my daughter and her family to dinner and they needed at least 2 more wait staff.Very time consuming meal but worth it. They did work together dishwasher, hostess and our waitress Great team work everyone. Food was good as always!

The food was pretty good. Their homemade green chili sauce is delicious. My waitress was all right. Play only to complete. The waitress never refilled my drink and the fall for tasted like it came from a jar.
